In the context of the implementation of the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy and given the major importance of the public procurement sector in the economic activity of the EU Member States, Directives 2014/24/EU and 2014/25/EU on public procurement in the so-called traditional sector and the excluded sectors were adopted in January 2014 and entered into force in April of the same year, respectively. The Directives were incorporated into national law by Law 4412/2016 (A 147/2016), which brought about important reforms, both at the stage of award and at the stage of the execution of public contracts.

Our office specializes in the fields of:

(a) public tenders for the award of works, supply and service contracts.
b) pre-trial and judicial settlement of disputes at the stage preceding the drafting of contracts (judicial procedures – temporary judicial protection of Law 4412/2016, applications for suspension and annulment disputes before the Administrative Court of Appeal and the Council of State)
(c) disputes arising in the context of the ex ante legality check of public contracts before the Court of Auditors;
d) substantive disputes concerning the execution of public and private projects, works of local authorities of first and second degree (pre-trial procedure of Law 4412/2016 – appeals before administrative courts of appeal – appeal stage before the Council of State and the Supreme Court)
