Standard banking contracts in Greece have been renewed very slowly, resulting in divergence or conflicts with the new EU and national legal framework, either for the protection of banking customers or for the supervision of their operation.
We have handled too many cases on behalf of bank customers (court, debt arrangements and collective actions relatimg to the fair formulation of the pre-formulated terms of banking contracts (see indicative Supreme Court decisions 430/2005, 652/2010, Council of State decisions 1210/2020 and 1730/2020).
